summer of ’77, vacationing in Waikiki – it was on the radio constantly while we were at the beach

I actually prefer this to “WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE ME” (which was the reworked version)

I’d forgotten completely about this song till I encountered it again on YouTube awhile back. I’m sure it was obscure everywhere else, but it was popular here in Hawaii – as you’d expect.
